Creepy back then too

If you woke up today thinking, “Gosh, what’s the world’s oldest bug?” that’s good timing: University of Texas geologists have found it. It’s an inch-long, 425-million-year-old millipede in what’s today Scotland.

It’s interesting from a scientific point of view because that area was forest back then — which means millipedes moved away from shorelines a lot sooner than scientists thought.
