Useful coronavirus trackers
So let’s say you like to keep tabs on Covid-19, but you’re a bit tired of reading about it. Maybe you just want to stay home putting rolls of toilet paper on eBay or finally catching up with all those “Matlock” tapes.
Here are two sites you might want to bookmark. Both let you track what’s what with the virus, without subjecting you to politics or hand-wringing:
- ProPublica keeps tabs on how close each state is to being ready to open — tracking cases, deaths, hospital space, and more.
- And the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will let you see how hard-hit your county is with a convenient color guide that simply tells you the approximate number of cases.
But if your antidepressant prescription is up to date and you really want to see the numbers (and state-by-state tracking), the New York Times has you covered.
